When you donate a capital sum to Link Charity, they guarantee you regular payments at a very attractive rate for the rest of your life.  After receiving the capital, Link Charity invests it in an investment pool and it generates a return.  Each month, the share of income earned by the annuitant’s capital is allocated to a personal account.  When payments are made to the annuitant, the payment is a mix of capital and income.  This continues over the annuitant’s life.
