I was born December 9, 1990, into a non-Christian family in India. I have studied up to eleventh grade but due to lack of interest in studies I quit.
My parents were worshipers of non-Christian gods and goddess. I always believed that venerating those idols through our pujas and sacrifices would bring blessings and peace in our family. But as I grew up, I felt certain emptiness within and longed for the true blessings and peace.
One day, when I was roaming with my friend I met a pastor. Then he shared the Good News with us from John 3:16. This verse says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” I was touched by the words of this verse. Before leaving, he prayed for me and my friend. He also invited me to the church. As I started to attend the church, I felt peace and joy in my heart. Hence, I was convicted that I was a sinner. Right there, I confessed my sins and received Jesus Christ as my Saviour.
As days passed, a great desire grew in my heart to study His Word. So I upheld this matter in prayer and soon, the Lord opened a way for me to study in a Bible school.
