Burhann’s body was infected with a mysterious disease—an illness that had taken the life of a close relative just three months before. Doctors were unable to offer any cure. They told him he would die within two years.
Burhann’s family was left penniless after paying for all of his medical treatments. They had sold all their property to help him, and now they had barely enough money for food to eat.
They were at this low point in their life when events took a miraculous turn.
A believer from a local church took Burhann to meet his pastor, Gospel for Asia-supported missionary Vardhana. This layman patiently explained all the physical struggles that Burhann was going through in his life. The pastor was touched by Burhann’s story and shared the Gospel with him, explaining very clearly that if he believed in Jesus, He had the power to completely heal him.
Although Burhann fell short of putting his full trust in the Lord that day, he felt encouraged after talking to Pastor Vardhana. He decided to start attending worship services on Sunday, and Vardhana continued to pray for Burhann’s redemption and healing.
Later, during a visit to Burhann’s home, Vardhana began to pray earnestly for his healing. When the prayer had ended, the whole family was astonished to discover that the mysterious illness that plagued Burhann’s system had vanished.
Burhann and his family rejoiced, praising the name of the living God. They joyfully put away their false gods and gave their lives to serve the true Lord.
