All over the world, people are praying for Manja, a wrongfully imprisoned Nepali missionary. Judges of the Nepali Supreme Court examined his case May 6 in a five-hour hearing. Manja’s wife and children, as well as many GFA Nepali staff, attended.
Our field leader in Nepal is optimistic and reports he sensed the prayers of God’s people, those in and out of the courtroom. “Often when I turned my face to look back,” he writes, “I saw many of our people praying.” For hundreds of Christians in church congregations and GFA Bible colleges in Nepal, the day was dedicated to prayer and fasting.
On May 27 judges will issue the final verdict. During these next weeks we encourage you to pray for Manja as though he were your brother or husband.
