Rakesh was mentally retarded. And the people in his village in Northeast India had lost all hope for his recovery.

But God had not given up on him, as he would soon find out through the witness of GFA native missionary Harsal and his enthusiastic church members.

When they met Rakesh and heard his sad story, they had compassion on him. Believing for his healing, they lifted his needs to the Father. “Our prayers were answered.” Pastor Harsal shares, “and his mental condition was restored.”

“This helped us start a mission station in the village,” he continues. “Pray that this mission station would eventually turn into a full-fledged church.”

Today we have the privilege of praying with Pastor Harsal for God’s blessings on this mission—and giving God thanks for restoring Rakesh and providing this place where precious men, women and children can gather to hear about a Savior who loves them.
